He madeapplication and was admitted to the FirstOfficers Training Camp at Fort Sheridan,being assigned to the 3rd Company. Uponreceipt of his commission he was assignedto Camp Grant. He sailed with the Eighty-fifth Division for France on July 1, Deneen was in action from thedate of his arrival in France until the dayof his death. He vi^as acting as captainwhen wounded. He was unmarried. Hisparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Deneen of Ham-mond, Wis., survive him. His father ispostmaster at Hammond. 1st Lt. ANDREW C. DENEEN. Killed in action in the Bois de Pins,near Blanc Mont, France, on October 3, 1918. Capt. PAUL C. DEILEY Captain Deiley was born in Langdale,Pa., on December 20, I 892. He receivedhis education in the public schools andthen entered the gas and coke was admitted to the Second OfficersTraining Camp at Fort Sheridan and as-signed to the I 6th Company. Upon thecompletion of the course he Vi^as commis-sioned a captain. Previous to this he hadserved three years in the Regular Armyand had tvsice seen service along the Mex-ican Border. On December 13, 1917,Captain Deiley sailed for France as a cas-ual officer and was assigned as an in-structor in one of the A. E. F. then received orders which took himto the 9th Infantry and served with thatregiment until his death
