The painted tomb of Khnumhotep II is one of 39 Middle Kingdom tombs carved into the limestone cliffs at Beni Hasan (also spelled Hassan) in Upper Egypt .Khnumhotep II was an Egyptian noble of the 12th Dynasty (c .1919-1783 ) He was the hereditary nomarch of Menet Khufu and the Oryx nome of Upper Egypt .This wall painting of a wild cat is from his tomb.
