Florence Hedges (1878-1956), American plant pathologist. Hedges worked for most of her career at the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Plant Industry. She is best known for discovering the pathogens of two diseases of bean plants, bacterial wilt and halo blight. Photographed in 1915.
