HeliFlight helicopter flight simulator. Researcher in the cabin of the HeliFlight simulator. It can simulate a helicopter or a fixed-wing aircraft. Five screens in the cabin give it a 140 degree- wide field of view onto the simulated environment. The cabin is mounted on six hydraulic legs (lower centre) that give it realistic movement, essential when training pilots. As well as training, its Flightlab software system can be programmed to simulate new aircraft designs to study their behaviour. HeliFlight was jointly developed by Advanced Rotorcraft Technology and Motionbase Plc. This simulator is at the University of Liverpool, England.
