The Corpach Wreck, at Caol, in the shadow of an unusually cloud-free Ben Nevis.
The Corpach Wreck, at Caol, in the shadow of an unusually cloud-free Ben Nevis. The shipwrecked fishing vessel, whose real name is the MV Dayspring, was built in 1975 and was docked at Kinlochleven until 2001. During a heavy storm in 2011, the Dayspring's mooring chains broke, and the boat drifted, finally running aground at Caol, by the western end of the Caledonian Canal, where she has been slowly rusting ever since.
