JENKINS, JAMES TEMPLE : 2nd Lieu-tenant, 4th Battalion Seaforth Highland-ers ; son of ThomasJenkins, fishcurer,Burghead ; born Burg-head, 30 November1883 ; graduated ,1904 ; partner in theherring-curing firm ofThomas Jenkins. Jenkins, always akeen Territorial, joinedthe Inns of in February 1916. He was commis-sioned a year later tothe 4th Seaforth Highlanders with whom heserved at Ripon until May of that year whenthe Battalion went to France.
