At that particular time we were so fully occupied with numerous colonies of hungry larvae, each requiring special food, that we were unable to make measurements, or transcribe detailed notes. The newly emerged larva had a large translucent yellow head, with black ocelli, and a translucent yellow body bearing a number of light yellow hairs. By the time we were ready to amplif> this information, all of the babies had 38.
