Although the x\ctions of a man himself are the truest proof of Merit, yet whoever pavsdue attention to the natural sentiments of Mankind, while he keeps clear of the absurdprejudice which gives honour and respect to EMiraction alone, will acknowledge that theactions of Men are not the only ground of respectability or estimation in this world.
