The sandstone and brick Auckland Ferry building and HSBC office tower, Auckland City waterfront, North Island New Zealand

The Auckland Ferry building was designed by Alex Wiseman and built by Philcox and Sons at a cost of 67,944 pounds, a large sum for the day. It was completed in 1912 on land reclaimed by the Auckland Harbour Board. Restored in 1988, the building now house waterside cafes and resturants and acts as the gateway to ferry services to the Huraki Gulf islands and Auckland's North Shore.
