Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic Diego Diaz, a 1993 graduate of Memorial High School in West New York, New Jersey, retired from the Navy, Jan. 5, after 21 years of service during a ceremony with Sailors, friends, and family at the American Legion Post 116 in Edgewater, New Jersey. Diaz served at four helicopter combat squadrons and qualified as a Master Training Specialist while in the Navy.
