Four Days Battle, 1666 (c1870). Fought in the North Sea between the English and Dutch navies during the Second Anglo-Dutch War, the Four Days Battle was one of the longest naval engagements in history. It ended with the English successfully disengaging with both fleets almost out of ammunition. The English lost 10 ships to the Dutch 4.
