I feel thatthis is an assumption of power unauthorized by the organic lawsof the American Union, and simply a declaration, of war, whichwould be resisted as such if such treatment was attempted againstthe similar rights of any other nation other than the weak, de-fenseless tribes of the Indian Territory.
