Cadbury Creme Egg (Half Eaten) on Black Background

The Cadbury's Creme Egg was an invention of the British chocolatier Fry's in 1963, before being renamed by Cadbury in 1971. It has a thick chocolate shell containing very sweet white and yellow filling that mimics the albumen and yolk of a soft boiled egg. In the UK, it is the best-selling confectionery item between New Year's Day and Easter with annual sales in excess of 200 million and a brand value of £55 million. They are sold globally, produced by Cadbury in the UK, by Hershey's in the US and by Cadbury Adams in Canada. A YouGov poll saw the Creme Egg ranked as the most famous confectionery in the UK.
