Windsor, UK. 12th November, 2022. Swans on the River Thames at Windsor. Thankfully the current outbreak of avian influenza has not reached Windsor yet. The numbers of swans on the Thames in Windsor is down as sadly a number of the swans and cygnets from last year died earlier this year following the then bird flu outbreak. A national housing order was introduced on Monday 7th November 2022 making it a legal requirement for birdkeepers and farmers to house their flocks such as hens and turkeys in an attempt to stop the spread of the current avian flu outbreak.
