CHIRPER, Plumage soft and blended, the feathers broadly ovate androunded, with loose filaments. Wings of moderate length,a little curved, broad, semi-ovate ; quills eighteen ; the firstprimary about a fourth of the length of the second, which isa little shorter than the third, the rest of the primaries gra-dually diminishing, and with the secondaries rounded.
