United States. New York. Woolworth Building, built in 1913 by Cass Gilbert. Woolworth Building. 233 Broadway. This neo-Gothic building designed by Cass Gilbert, was the tallest building in the city until 1930, when the Chrysler Building was built. Was commissioned by Frank Winfield Woolworh owner of a chain type stores "All 5 cents" and kept their offices in this building until 1997. The lobby is built on three floors with a glass roof and has a statue caricature same architect Gilbert to Woolworth, in which the latter appears counting coins and hugged a model of the building.
