Agave with Stalk - black and white

Driving a dirt track, I came across this specimen of Agave, the plant whose 'heart' is baked to process its sugars for the fermentation phase of tequila making. Mount Bruce stands in the background. It was July 11, and Arizona's monsoon season had begun for the year with towering clouds and flashes of lightning visible toward the horizon. The image was stitched together from several smaller images.
