Dorsal I 6, longest ray shorter than head ; spine f to f length of head, not serrated or feebly serrated behind in the young. Adipose fin 1^ times as long as deep, a little shorter than rayed dorsal, its base 2| times in its distance from the latter. Anal 12, 8 rays branched.
