Beatty, Co. A. A most excellent no one did more to keep alive the spirit of true comradeship amonsthe survivors of the Regiment. As a soldier, none had a better record. He was wounded during theattack on Chattanooga in 1862. Owing to his Captain, and 1st Lieutenantbeing on detached service, he was in command of his company in every battle. He died March 15, 1904. Adjutant Lester G. Bangs. The sketch of his exjjerience at the Battleof Stone River, printed in the preceeding pages, will interest the survivors. Wounded at Chickamauga, he was with us again
