Historical etching showing the Ancient Greeks through significant periods of their lives from childhood to death

Historical 19th Century etching showing the Ancient Greeks during significant periods in their lives. The image starts with childhood showing a young child playing with a dog. It then moves on through gymnastic activities, including discus, to education showing a pupil with his master and a pedagogue. The next images depict marriage and the activities of young women. They are shown, amongst other things, washing and dressing their hair. The final image in the etching shows the solemn business of laying out a body after death. The sepia toned etching is originally from the German book Bilder Atlas published in Leipzig by F A Brockhurst.
