Argyle Street is a center for the West Argyle Historic District, within the Uptown neighborhood. This historic district is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. The concentration of Vietnamese restaurants and shops; as well as Chinese, Cambodian, Laotian and Thai businesses along Argyle Street, have had the area become also known as New Chinatown, Little Saigon, or Little Vietnam.
