This paper is conducted with exceptional ability and hasexercised a most gratifying influence in advancing the best interests of theentire section throughout which it circulates. During the last 20 years,Greenfield has been built up wonderfully, and the character of the buildingserected is not less significant and gratifying than their number, for many. of the structures are very elaborately and tastefully designed, and evidencesof increasing wealth, taste and refinement are to be seen on every side. Anumber of new streets have been opened, and the value of real estate has rapidlyand steadily increased in every desirable portion of the town. An abundantsupply of pure water is by no means the least of the advantages observable, andthe principal thoroughfares are very satisfactorily illuminated by the electriclight. The air in this vicinity is much purer than it is usual to find in theneighborhood of manufacturing centers and in point of fact will compare morethan favorably with that noticeable in many distinctively agricultural communi-ties.
