Bergkamen, Ruhr area, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Autumn landscape on the Seseke. The renaturalized Seseke, a tributary of the Lippe, has been transformed into a near-natural watercourse, flood protection and biodiversity through newly designed floodplains. Following the construction of a parallel sewer, the Seseke is now free of wastewater, having previously been an open, above-ground wastewater sewer, a combined sewer with surface water and wastewater.
