Parisians look over construction of the new Les Halles metro station, Gare de Chatelet--les-halles, and new shopping mall, Forum Les Halles. During the transformation is was an eyesore and given the name "Le Trou des Halles." (Les Halles hole) Started in 1971 anc completed in 1977. Photo taken in 1974.
