Second Sino-Japanese War, 1937—1945. The battered western wall of the Joint Trust Warehouse (Sihang Warehouse) following the Battle of Shanghai, August 13 - November 26 1937. The Sihang Warehouse served as the last stronghold for the 800 heroes of China's "Lost Battalion" in their heroic four day stand against attacking Japanese troops during the invasion of Chapei from October 27 - 31, 1937.
