NELUMB1UM SPECIOSUM-Egyptian Lotus.—In ancient times this Lotus was cul- tivated in Egypt and the seed known as the " Sacred ; It was Cleopatra's favorite flower. The color is pink. The base of the petals is white, and most beautifully and delicately shaded off toward the end into bright pink.
