Galician unbroken horses fill the curro (round arena) during the Rapa das Bestas in the village of Sabucedo in Galicia, Spain. Galician horses live free at the highland pastures throughout the year. One day in July six hundred horses are driven together down to the village, where traditional horse taming festival known as the Rapa das Bestas (Shearing of the Beasts) takes place in the round arena known as the curro. Brave local fighters known as the aloitadores have to saddle each horse, maddened after the sudden displacement from the highlands to the arena, and then cut their tails and manes.
