Experiences teaches: That the idea of giving absolute protectionto quail for a series of years, or to certain coveys on a farm, is notfollowed by the best results, unless the covey be trapped and sepa-rated, because, frequently two or three or more hen birds will layin the same nest, the cock birds fight over them, and no hatchingbe the result.
