Polruan National Coastwatch / voluntary Coast Guard lookout station (keeps watch over the sea at the mouth of the river at Fowey on south coast of Cornwall) UK. Situated over 240 feet up on St. Saviour’s Hill, Polruan NCI Station overlooks a sea area from Lizard Point in the West to the Eddystone Light in the East, as well as having a commanding view over Fowey harbour. The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) is an entirely voluntary organisation keeping a visual watch along UK shores. (72)
