A useful border plant of strong, free growth, 3 to feet high, with minute white flowers in dense heads; splendid for cutting; August and September. Coelestinum. A pretty, hardy plant, with high blue flowers similar to the Arierutain; in flower from August until frost; 18 to 24 inches. 15 cts. each; $ per Hardy Fern, Scolopendrium Off. Undulatum CHOICE HARDY FERNS. Suitable positions for Hardy Ferns are to be found in almost every garden. With few exceptions they do best in a shady or semi-shady position in rich but well-drained soil, where they can be liberally supplied With water during dry weather. Where the soil is stiff and clayey, incorporate a liberal quantity of leaf- mould, peat or other loose material to make friable. Varieties marked * require a shady position.
