Ystrad Fflur, Strata Florida Cistercian Abbey ruins, mid Wales
Strata Florida Abbey was an important medieval religious settlement with very close links to the Welsh princes and nobility. The Welsh bard Dafydd ap Gwilym was buried under a yew tree at Strata Florida, which still stands a few metres away from the abbey remains.
