On the 28th of January, 1892, a dispatch from Chili was received, inwhich the demands of our Government were fully acceded to, the offensiveletter was withdrawn and regret was expressed for the trouble. In his relationto this particular case Minister Egans conduct received the entire approval ofhis Government.
