The Viverone Lake is located in Piedmont, in the eastern part of the Canavese, it has glacial origin and it is formed during the Quaternary era. It is an important fishing and tourism resource but is also a place of great archaeological interest, thanks to the discovery of the remains of jewelry, weapons and pebbles of different tools belonging to prehistoric population, which on the shores of the lake, lived in lake-dwellers villages during the Bronze Age. As a tourist spot offers many ways to relax, in a couple or with the family: The walk along the lake, the presence of grassy areas also equipped sunbathing freely and in an area bounded by the pier, even swimming. Visitors can embark on a boat and go around the lake listening to the tour guide who will provide information and curiosities, or rent a pedal boat by yourself. There are also numerous campsites, hotels, bars, restaurants and ice cream parlors along its banks that offer a great view, give the chance to relax and also enjoy excellent fish dishes. Most of the avifauna consists in ducks, mallards, coots, grebes and gulls but during the winter and migration steps, you can also see examples of other species.
