Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal, Venice.
The Rialto Bridge is one of Venice’s main tourist attractions and an important crossing place over the Grand Canal. The original bridge was built between 1588 and 1591 and was the only one until the Accademia Bridge was built in 1854. Throughout the day it is often crowded with people enjoying the view or just browsing in its double row of shops. Below the bridge is the Fondamenta del Vin with a wide choice of eating places. The waiters encourage you to stop for a pizza or one of their speciality pasta dishes. It is a great place to people watch and soak up the ambience of this historic city.
