Christ Church, Newgate Street, London, rebuilt after the fire of London 1677-1687 by Sir Christopher Wren, probably with Robert Hooke's assistance. Bombed 1940, The tower, seen through a window arch of the east wall, which survived the bombing but was demolished in 1974 as part of road widening scheme.
