In partnership with the Al-Amal volunteer group, USAID enabled the renovation of six schools for girls in Nasiriyah, capital of Dhi Qar province. The focus on upgrading restroom facilities, repairing floors, and replacing damaged desks was determined jointly by city educators, parents, community leaders, local and provincial officials, and civil society organizations. By creating a welcoming educational environment in Nasiriyah, USAID is helping to ensure that every child has a chance to succeed.
