St Margaret Pattens, church in the City of London. Churchwardens pews

St Margaret Pattens, church in the City of London. Rebuilt by Christopher Wren between 1685 and 1702, after the Great Fire of London (1666). A Churchwardens' pewâ at the west end. Once a regular feature of the City churches, these special pews only survive at St Margaret's. They were reserved for the use of churchwardens, lay officials of the parish vestry.
