Major General Norman J. Anderson (right) receives the 1st Marine Air Wing colors from Major General Louis B. Robartshaw during a change of command ceremony at the 1st Marine Air Wing headquarters on June 1, 1967. General Anderson, a recipient of the Silver Star Medal for valor in aerial combat during the Pusan perimeter fighting, previously commanded the 2nd Marine Air Wing at Cherry Point, North Carolina. General Robartshaw is set to become the Liaison Officer for Headquarters Marine Corps with the Office of the Naval Operations.
