Janssen sign seen outside its building in European Commission has made agreements with American pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson about the purchase of a vaccine if it appears to be safe and effective against Covid-19. This vaccine is being developed under the leadership of the subsidiary Janssen Vaccines in Leiden. The envisaged contract will allow EU member states to purchase the vaccine and initially provides for 200 million doses, with an option for an additional 200 million.
