Waterwheel tower, workshops & Fron Haul cottages at the National Slate Museum, overlooking Llyn Padarn, Llanberis. The museum is housed in the Victorian workshops of the Dinorwic Quarry Company. The row of four quarrymen's cottages was brought from Fron Haul, Blaenau Ffestiniog, & re-erected at the museum in 1998. They are furnished to 1860 (when built), 1901 (height of the great strike) & 1969 (when Dinorwic Quarries finally closed). The fourth cottage is an interactive teaching house. The Dinorwig Slate Quarry Mountain Landscape is part of The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales which became the UK's 32nd UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 July 2021.
