Onychomycosis or ringworm effecting patient's big toe.
Ringworm of the nail is due to a fungal infection (derm atophyte) similar to the type that causes athlete's foo t. Other scientific terms for ringworm of the nails are: tinea unguium, onychomycosis or dermatophytosis unguium. The fungi that cause ringworm are able to feed on keratin - the main protein in nails, hair and the outer layer of the skin. Model release is not necessary since there are no identifying marks.
