Steam rises from the Geothermal Valley of Beitou, Taiwan, October 26, 2010. In 1896, the Japanese, hotspring lovers at heart, established the first Japanese spa in Beitou, just one year after the Japanese takeover of Taiwan. The hallowed waters are milky white, sulfuric, with a temperature ranging from 55 to 65C.
