William McFadden. Mrs. Millikin was b. Mar. 22, 1815, and 16, 1900. Mr. Millikin settled on a farm two miles south of Smiths Falls,on which their eight children were born. They then removed to a farm threemiles north of Smiths Falls, where he remained until the autumn of 1894, whenhe and wife and the youngest daughter moved to town. There his wife anddaughter died, and he went to live with his daughter, Mrs. Kerfoot, where heremains, at the age of 90, in comparatively good health. He helped build thefirst Methodist church at Smiths Falls, and was class leader, steward, andtrustee. In 1838, the year of his marriage, he was drafted to serve in the Re-bellion and spent his honeymoon in the army at Brookville, while his bride re-mained on the farm with his mother. His farm consisted of 250 acres, and while in Montague he kept 9 horses,15 cows, 30 head of young stock, and 50 sheep. There were eight 5th JOHN MILLIKIN
