Housing clearance in the Edge Hill area of Liverpool.
Housing clearance in the Edge Hill area of Liverpool. A community has been demolished and now due for redevelopment by the Kensington Regeneration Scheme and the Pathways Project originating from John Prescots office. In 2006 local resident Elizabeth Pascoe won an appeal in the Royal Courts of Justice to halt the scheme as it violated Human Rights of the local community residents. Compulsory purchase of the Edge Hill and Kensington homes has been referred to as social cleansing. See images pre-demolition: AY0MP6 B16M85 B16TEG B16KJA / B16CH6 - corner with phone. B16W3Y AY0MP9
