Jeff Quiazon assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) talks with a member of the Sasebo Rotary Club while conducting a tour of the flight deck. The Rotary Club visited the ship for the first time in seven years to give new members the opportunity to see the ship up-close. Essex is currently the only forward-deployed Navy amphibious assault ship and serves as Task Force 76, the Navy's only forward-deployed amphibious force.
