The Afghan Air Force received five new MD-530 Cayuse Warrior helicopters June 17, 2016, at Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul Afghanistan. The helicopters arrived on a C-17 Globemaster III stationed at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. These newest MD-530s have the capability to fire rockets or .50-caliber machine guns. This brings the AAF’s Warrior inventory from 13 to 18. Nine more are scheduled for delivery by the end of August 2016. ( Air Force photo by Capt. Jason Smith)
