Sergeant Warolin, an American soldier, is depicted in a drawing entitled "The German Looter" by Captain Harvey Dunn. The drawing was created in the Photo Laboratory in Vincennes, Seine, France during World War One. It was selected for publication in the New York Tribune in March 1919. The original title of the painting was "The Bosche Looter", with 'Bosche' being the French word for 'Pig', referring to the German soldiers. This image was released by the Censor on December 23, 1918.
