No Sinking feeling as Ministers launch Rowing Competition at Stormont Castle, Belfast, June 2nd, 2011. Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuiness and Lord Rana, join's Queen's University men's Captain Charlie Cunningham (L) and women's Captain Zoe Patterson (R) for the launch of this year’s Ramada Plaza Belfast University Boat Race in the grounds of Stormont Castle. Athletes from Queen's University received a warm welcome from the First and Deputy First Ministers when they called to deliver invitations to this year’s boat race. The race, which will take place on June 11th on the River Lagan is an all Ireland affair with crews from University College Cork and Trinity College Dublin racing against Queen's. the Boat Race is now in the 8th year and has become a fixture in Irish Rowing, giving the crews a chance to have their race plans in advance of the Henley Regatta and Irish Championships.
