A Marine with Marine Barracks Washington stands outside the Lincoln Memorial after a sunset parade in honor of Robert Wilke, Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel Readiness, at Washington, D. C. on June 12, 2018. The hosting official was Robert D. Hogue, Counsel for the Commandant of the Marine Corps. The sunset parade summer tradition began in 1954 and features the Silent Drill Platoon, the Marine Band, the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and two marching companies. The sunset parade is held at the Lincoln Memorial and is open for public viewing.
