The diagnosis is made by recognition of the bone under the flexortendons and of the gap on the dorsum between the os magnum andradius. Associated fracture of the scaphoid is indicated by crepitusand localized pain. Fracture of the scaphoid with dislocation of itsproximal fragment, not combined with dislocation of the semilunar,may resemble the latter closely, but is much less common. Fig.
